  1. Actually Hamilton has been playing pretty solid defense at short and his speed on the basepaths is underrated. His batting average isnt great but he brings other tools to the table that can help the team. Mayer will be back soon anyway

  2. Breaking news: Red Sox player gets injured. In other shocking news, water is wet and the Yankees still suck. At least Hamilton runs fast so we can watch him get stranded on base instead of Mayer getting stranded on base lmao

  3. Injuries are part of baseball unfortunately. Wrist injuries for infielders can be tricky because they need that strength for throwing and hitting. Hamilton has good speed and can play multiple positions which gives the manager flexibility. Hopefully Mayer recovers quickly and this doesnt become a recurring issue

  4. Why does everyone act like Hamilton is garbage?? The guy plays good defense and hustles every play. Not everyone needs to hit 30 home runs to be valuable to a team. Give him a chance before you write him off completely

  5. People saying Hamilton is a good replacement are delusional. The guys hitting like .230 and cant hit for power at all. Mayer was suppose to be our future and now his wrist is messed up? This organization is cursed I swear

  6. Oh great, another injury. Because thats exactly what this team needs right now. Why do we even draft these guys if there always hurt? Maybe we should just wrap them in bubble wrap before every game. Hamilton better step up or this seasons done

  7. So your telling me our top prospect cant stay healthy and were supposed to be excited about a guy who cant hit his weight? Yeah that tracks for this team. Maybe next year we’ll actually have a healthy roster but I aint holding my breath

  8. Wait so is Mayer out for like a week or is this more serious?? I dont understand why they dont give us more details about these injurys

  9. Man this sucks so bad. We really needed Mayer in the lineup right now and his wrist had to go and get hurt. Hamilton is ok I guess but hes not the prospect everyone been waiting for
