What a waste of resources. Vegas is already overcrowded and the traffics a nightmare. We dont need more tourists flooding the strip for some lottery draw that takes 2 hours.
This is absolute amazing news for Vegas!! Finally we get some recognition for world class sports event. The city deserves this after all the investment in infrastructure and stadiums.

Why Vegas though?? There are cities with actual soccer culture and history. This is just FIFA being corrupt and choosing the city that will pay them the most money. Same old story different day.

Hold on – are we talking about Vegas having actual World Cup GAMES or just the draw ceremony? Because if its just the draw thats kind of misleading headline. The actual tournament will have matches in other US cities plus Canada and Mexico.

The draw ceremony will be held at a venue on the Las Vegas Strip, likely in April 2026. It’s basically where they determine which teams play in which groups and cities. For those confused – actual matches are in other cities.
Everyone acting like this is the superbowl or something. Its literally just people drawing balls out of a container to decide matchups. You can watch it on TV from you’re couch why does it matter where they do it??

Nothing screams “international football” quite like doing the draw in a city that’s never hosted a single World Cup match. But hey, at least the delegates can enjoy some blackjack after ruining everyone’s bracket predictions! 😂
