Interesting move considering the Bengals already have depth at DT with Reader and Hill. Stewart profiles more as a 3-tech in their scheme. Could this signal a potential departure for one of the veterans? Also worth noting he had injury concerns coming out of college – missed 4 games with a knee issue last season.

Everyone acting like this is some homerun signing but let’s be real – he was barely productive in college. How’s he supposed to compete with NFL caliber offensive lineman when he struggled against SEC competition? I need someone to explain this to me cause I dont get the hype at all.
Am I the only one who thinks we overpayed for him? His college stats wasnt even that impressive compare to other recruits. Front office making questionable decisions again smh
People need to temper there expectations. He’s a developmental player at best right now. Might not even make significant contributions til year 2 or 3 if ever. But sure lets all act like we just signed Aaron Donald or something

For those wondering, Stewart was a 5-star recruit out of Miami who played at Texas A&M. He recorded 6.5 sacks and 35 tackles last season. The contract details haven’t been disclosed yet, but reports suggest it’s a multi-year deal with performance incentives. He’ll likely compete for a rotational spot on the defensive line.
