Steve Angeli, who was part of the quarter of Notre Dame’s quarter competition, entered the transfer portal, several points of sale reported on Thursday.
Angeli faced CJ Carr and Kenny Milchey in a three -spring battle.
As a safeguard of Riley Leonard last year, Angeli entered 11 games and finished 24 of the 36 passes for 268 yards, three affected and zero interceptions.
The old four -star perspective in New Jersey launched for 772 yards, 10 affected and an interception while filling 72.5% of its passes (58 out of 80) for his career.
Angeli is expected to be a junior this season, while Carr is a first-year student (and the grandson of the former Michigan Lloyd Carr coach) and Milchey is a second year student.
Fighting Irish leave a national championship match against Ohio State, and Leonard failed to eligibility after his only season in South Bend.
