A heated verbal exchange broke out on the ground between the Capitals of Delhi, Karun Nair, and the star stimulator of the Mumbai Indians, Jasprit Bumrah, during the match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 held Sunday between the Capitals of Delhi and the Indians of Mumbai.
The incident took place in the PowerPlay final when Karun Nair scored 18 points aggressively on the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah, including two six and a four. During the last delivery of the end, Nair added two additional points and seemed to physically challenge Bumrah while finishing the race, causing the confrontation.

As for the outcome of the match, the Mumbai Indians beat Delhi’s capitals by 12 points. Chasing a target of 206 set by Mumbai, Delhi succeeded 193 points before being overthrown. Karun Nair played a remarkable round, marking 89 points on 40 balls. While he stayed in the fold, the Capitals of Delhi appeared on the right track for the victory. However, his dismissal followed by a series of streams towards the end destined the team’s hopes to win.
