San Diego FC acquired the defender Oscar Verhoeven on loan from earthquakes from San Jose.

The agreement announced on Monday takes place in the rest of this season, the quakes receiving $ 100,000 in general allowance money. The agreement includes an option to buy in exchange for 2026 GAM and a percentage of sales.

Verhoeven, 18, appeared in seven MLS games (five departures) in San Jose from 2024-25, including an appearance as a replacement this season.

“We are delighted to welcome Oscar to San Diego while we continue to add competition to our group,” said San Diego sportsman Tyler Heaps. “It is a rear with high potential and a solid competitor which, in our view, will benefit from being in our environment when it continues to develop.”

Verhoeven, from California, represented the United States at the FIFA 2023 U-17 World Cup.
