NEW DELHI: Punjab Kings Friday, recorded a five -gate victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a rainy first Indian League match. With this victory, PBKS climbed second in the points table with 10 points, after winning five of their seven games so far.
The striker first in the 14 -Overs competition per side – shortened due to evening showers – RCB displayed 95 for nine. Tim David led the charge with a counterattack of 50 on 26 balls. However, the rest of the RCB range of strikers had a hard time starting.
In response, Punjab hunted the target with ease, reaching 96 in 12.1 overs. Nehal Wadhera played a crucial hand with a keen on deliveries of 33 out of 19. Despite a commendable spell by Josh Hazlewood, who finished with 3/14 figures, RCB could not prevent the punjab strikers from crossing victory.
After the match, the skipper of PBKS Shreyas Iyer praised the adaptability and instinctive decision -making of his under pressure team.
