At the age of 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi holds the record for the youngest Centurion in the History IPL and T20.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has taken the world by storm. After his fireworks in Jaipur last night, he has become the youngest-ever player to hit a hundred in T20 and Indian Premier League (IPL) history. At the age of 14, Suryavanshi scored a 35-ball hundred against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

This is the second-fastest hundred by a batter in the IPL and the fastest by an Indian in the league. The cricketing world was in awe of the teenager. Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid jumped off his seat, despite his leg being fractured. Sachin Tendulkar, a teenage prodigy himself, heaped praise on Suryavanshi.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi gets Rs 10 lakh reward from Bihar CM

Hailing from Bihar, Suryavanshi has created history for the state. Therefore, Chief Minister (CM) of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, has awarded Rs 10 lakh as a reward for his performance.

“Congratulations and best wishes to Mr Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar, who became the youngest player (14 years) to score a century in the history of the IPL. He has become a new hope for Indian cricket through his hard work and talent. Everyone is proud of him. I met Mr Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his father in 2024 at 1 Anne Marg, where I wished him a bright future.”

“After his brilliant performance in the IPL, I also congratulated him over the phone. Mr Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young cricketer from Bihar, will also be awarded an honorarium of Rs 10 lakh by the state government. I hope Vaibhav sets new records for the Indian team in the future and brings glory to the country,” Bihar CM wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
