Taijuan Walker is expected to make the call on Wednesday in the decisive competition of the three -game Phillie matches visiting the White Sox in Chicago.
With a right colleague Aaron Nola (Ankle, Rib) who had rehabilitation homework with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, however, it could be for Walker in rotation for a while.
“Aaron returns at one point, so I suppose that I will be the strange man, which is good,” said Walker. “I built a fairly good routine. My job is just out and launch and go out.”
Walker (3-5, 3.84 ERA) remains a versatile option for pitching staff. He made six departures from April 3 to May 1 before traveling to the LEVEUR ENCLOS, where he recorded a backup of three rounds during his next outing. He returned to rotation at the end of May, only to return to a rescue role.
He started in each of his last three appearances, all non-decisions, spacing of seven points deserved in 13 2/3 sleeves. Walker produced three points, all on the solo circuits, at the start of the road to New York Yankees on Friday, but failed to record a start of quality.
Placing in Chicago the same night, Adrian Houser won the start of quality to help White Sox defeat the cubs on visit. Houser will be back in action on Wednesday.
Effective outings were the standard for Houser (6-2, 2.10 ERA) since he signed a one-year contract of $ 1.35 million with the White Sox on May 20. He took a bleaching in the seventh round and finally authorized three points and five strokes in 6 2/3 rounds to defeat the Cubs. During its last five departures, Houser has a 4-0 sheet with an MPM of 1.91.
The series of successful success of Houser made him a leading figure in potential trade negotiations for the reconstruction of White Sox while the commercial deadline on Thursday is looming. Houser is categorical, however, that “everything that is in the future is out of my control”, leaving it to put its state of mind on the preparation and few others.
“I simply focus on setting up my work, getting my mechanics, making sure I hit these points in my mechanics, my key points and that I work right on this,” said Houser. “Because I know that if I take care of that, everything else will be in a good place.
“I’m just happy to be able to help the team. That’s all I am trying to do.”
Chicago won the opening of the 6-2 series on Monday before Philadelphia responded on Tuesday with a 6-3 victory. Kyle Schwarber and Brandon Marsh both delivered two -point circuits in the Phillies victory.
The White Sox dragged 6-0 entering the ninth round before rallying for three points. Lenyn Sosa contributed an explosion of two points as part of a two -stroke match. He strikes. 444 (8 for 18) with six produced points in the last five games.
Walker has a 3-2 sheet with an MPM of 3.64 in five career starts against the White Sox covering 29 2/3 sleeves.
Houser has played eight appearances against Philadelphia, including three departures, going 1-2 with an MPM of 3.90.
