The captain of the CSK Ruturaj Gaikwad leaves the team; Official declaration published

The drummer of the India national cricket team and Chennai Super Kings captain (CSK), Ruturaj Gaikwad, officially withdrawn with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

This development was formalized by the Yorkshire County Cricket Club on Saturday July 19 and the club said that Ruturaj Gaikwad had withdrawn from his contract for “personal reasons”.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has signed a Yorkshire contract for the county championship and the one -day cup

Gaikwad had signed the contract to represent the Yorkshire team in five county championship games as well as the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

He had traveled with India a team for the tour in England, but had not had playing time. The county championship matches would have been his first visit to competitive cricket since early April 2025, the date on which he was excluded from the first Indian League 2025 due to an elbow injury and put the captain to Ms Dhoni.

“The Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that Ruturaj Gaikwad will no longer join the club for the 2025 season for personal reasons,” wrote the club on X.

Speaking of withdrawal of the last minute of Ruturaj Gaikwad due to a personal problem at home, the head coach of Yorkshire, Anthony McGrath, said that it was a development “ Dépant ”, but that the hope that things be good with Gaikwad.

“Unfortunately, Gaikwad does not come now for personal reasons. We are not going to have it for Scarborough or for the rest of the season. It is therefore disappointing. “We work behind the scenes of what we can do. But it’s only two or three days, so I don’t know what we can do right now.

McGrath also spoke of Jonny Bairstow and Dom Bess missing the T20 blast game in Leicestershire. He said Bess suffers from lightness, and Jonny Bastow is not available because he wants to stay with his partner for the birth of their child.
