Lucknow’s Super Giants recorded an exciting two -point victory over the Royals Rajasthan in the 2025 IPL match on Saturday in Jaipur. By opting to beat first, LSG posted a total of 180/5 in 20 Overs with Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni marking 66 and 50 points respectively. Later, RR fought with the 74 of Yashasvi Jaiswal, but LSG managed to limit them to 178/5 and won the match by two points. It was LSG’s fifth victory in eight matches while for RR, it was the sixth defeat of eight games.

Although it is on the winning side, the bad shape of the Rishabh Pant skipper has remained a great concern for LSG. Pant was dismissed for 3 out of 9 balls when he recorded another low score during the current season.

The ticket office was rejected by Wanindu Rasaanga after defeating his inverted scanning attempt.

Seeing this, the former drummer of India, Manoj Tiwary, criticized Pant for his unnecessary selection of shooting and also echoed the criticism of Pant by Sunil Gavaskar.

“Rishabh Pant is this kind of player – he overflows with talent. He is not necessary that he immediately played a reverse scanning, but he does. That is why Sunil Gavaskar got angry during the test match in the Border -Gavaskar series,” said Tiwary on Cricbuzz

Even he knows that the pants have so much capacity that he can mark races with cricket with a right sock. So why is he not doing that? Why does he work for the unconventional? “He added.

In particular, Gavaskar had openly defined against Pant after playing a bad blow during a Border-Gavaskar trophy test against Australia, which led to its dismissal.

“These kinds of matches built of the character. It was an incredible victory. As a team, it will take us to a different level. This kind of games can build the character of the players and the team. These are the positive things we are still talking about. Before, I think we are going to do better.
