The Brewers of Milwaukee will turn to the right -handed veteran Freddy Peralta as they seek to bounce against the Pittsburgh Pirates visiting Tuesday.
Peralta (7-4, 2.76 ERA) will be opposed by the Gaucher Andrew Heaney (3-6, 3.94).
The pirates took the opening of the 5-4 series on Monday. Nick Gonzales managed a career summit of five strokes – two doubles and three single – and rolled in two points, and Tommy Pham dominated the pirates, who won consecutive matches for the first time since June 9.
The Brewers had won their four previous games, scoring 43 points over this period. They fell to 36-9 when they scored four or more points.
“How do you get angry with a team that did what they did since the end of May?” Brewers director Pat Murphy said. “But it’s just going to show you. All guys on the mound, whoever beats anyone.”
Christian Yelich continued his warm section with two strokes, including his 15th circuit. Yelich hits 0.402 in his last 26 games with eight circuits, six doubles and 30 products.
Brice Turang has extended his strike sequence to eight games with a simple RBI. He strikes .364 over this period.
Peralta has a 3-1 file with an MPM of 2.89 during its last seven departures. It is 2-1 with an MPM of 2.74 in four outings this month, winning its last two departures.
During his last departure, he granted three points in five rounds, abandoning two circuits, but won the victory in an 8-7 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

The pirates struck 14 strokes in the first match after obtaining 15 shots in an 8-3 victory against Texas on Sunday. It was the first time that Pittsburgh has recorded consecutive matches with at least 14 strokes since May 2023.
Before his home run, Pham was one of the six players in the major leagues with more than 180 plaques appearances and no circuits.
Heaney will seek to bounce back after abandoning a summit of seven points in four rounds with a defeat of 9-2 in Detroit on Thursday.

He has an MPM of 6.07 in his last five departures, going 0-3 while giving 18 points deserved in 26 2/3 sleeves.
