Hasaranga accomplished the feat in just 64 matches, surpassing pace legend Lasith Malinga’s mark of 68 matches.

Hasaranga reached the landmark during Sri Lanka’s 77-run victory over Bangladesh on July 1, where he returned with magical figures of 4 for 10 in 7.5 overs. His 100th ODI wicket was Litton Das, trapped lbw for a duck.
