What is the next step? Three NFL teams who need to move after the draft

Following the NFL draft, little changed in the hierarchical order of the league.

The defending champion of Philadelphia Eagles remains the favorite to win the Super Bowl 60 in Las Vegas. Most online sports books have Jalen Hurts and Co. at +650 to hoist the Lombardi trophy again. Baltimore ravens, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions are close to the list of odds in everyone’s future – you know that these teams will be dedicated to doing everything they can to win this year.

But what about the other 27 teams? Each of them clearly has problems that must be resolved. On condition, you know, they have the desire to compete with the big boys this fall.

When should these teams start to make movements to resolve their shortcomings? Well, each team begins their recruit development camp on Monday May 12, so it is too early to know who is a bust and is better than expected. And while each team carried out at least one OTA session in April, the compulsory mini-camps will only occur in mid-June.

What we say is that … the sweet spot for alignment movements seems to be a few weeks old. But it’s never too early to offer some tips. Here are three movements that must occur for a few teams that could use a boost to get to where they should go:

1. Bears, get a ball carrier

With the choice of the first round of the Chicago Bears on Thursday, they drafted the tight Michigan Colston Loveland – a 6 -foot 6 -inch athlete and 250 pounds considered as a Sam Laporta clone. With their choice of second round, they selected the wide receiver of Missouri, Luther Burden, who made comparisons with the Wideout Jameson Williams lions (devil, they were even secondary teammates).

It is clear that the boss of New Bears, Ben Johnson, wants to build a replica of the multifaceted attack of Strait who led the NFL in attack last year, so of course, this continues to the ball carrier. Johnson already has a story with the current Bears starter by Andre Swift. He was the main Lions in 2022, the first year of Johnson as an offensive coordinator of Detroit. But the Lions have chosen to exchange it after this season.

In 2022, Swift had 99 races for lions but 70 pass targets. Last year, Swift had 253 races for the Bears but only 52 targets. Expect that the Swift report looks more like 2022 – but that means that the Bears need someone to take these litters.

Enter JK Dobbins. The 26 -year -old reduced 905 yards on the ground and nine affected in just 13 games last year for the Los Angeles Chargers, who moved to Najee Harris and the choice of first round Omarion Hampton. Dobbins have an average of 4.6 yards per race last year – and 2.5 of them came after contact. Swift, on the other hand, was on average 3.8 yards per carrying – with only 1.8 yards after contact.

Call, Ryan Polish. It’s only money.

2. Browns, lend a QB to the saints

You may not have heard, but the Browns of Cleveland drafted two quarters of a week last week – Dillon Gabriel and a Slinger under the radar named Sheder Sanders. They join the Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, 40 -year -old business shopping, in the QB room in the Browns (and Deshaun Watson, although it has come out in the long term).

Browns cannot prepare all these arms. However, given that Fanduel lists Cleveland as the team least likely to win the Super Bowl (get your bets now at +26000), they should spend their time developing their new arms and playing for 2026 and beyond.

If that means keeping Flacco to teach new guys to evil, then exchange Pickett. If it seems silly to keep a 40-year-old man on the list when you probably not sniff the playoffs, then move it.

We choose Flacco to go to the Saints of New Orleans. Yes, few things are expected from the saints, but all they have in the quarter-arre is the choice of second round Tyler Slough and the second year man Spencer Rattle (who shaped a record of 0-6 last year). David Carr is there too, but he has a shoulder injury – and he asked to be exchanged from New Orleans.

3. LOL

Just for fun, type “which NFL teams need a corner” in a search engine. What We Got Back was this list: Atlanta, Baltimore, Carolina, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minnesota, New England, New Orleans, New York (Giants), New York (Jets), Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa football team of the Bay, Tennessee and Washington.

Hey, wait a minute. Washington football team? It turns out that the search engine focused on a story of 2020, so perhaps we should not use this search engine again (its name makes you think of Chanandler Bong).

Obviously, this is a sign that we should scratch to find a third big blow. Instead of trying to understand the ideal landing point for Miami Jalen Ramsey’s corner half, let’s finish with this plea:

Hey, Aaron Rodgers, sign already with Pittsburgh Steelers. Or not. But America is advancing. We have decided that we are obsessed with Sheder Sanders now. In fact, let’s think positively. Sign with the brown. Imagine the sports shows that you could offer. In this vein, wouldn’t it be great if LeBron James joined Dallas Cowboys as a receiver? We hear that they could really use a supplement for Ceedee Lamb.
