Update

The Delhi skipper, Axar Patel, won the draw and first chose on the field. He awarded his decision on the red ground on the site as well as the dew that would settle during the second rounds. Rishabh Pant, on the other hand, admitted that he would have chosen to play first. However, he shared that his team’s strategy would be to play according to the situation and publish a competitive total.

Chameera arrives for Mohit

Dushmantha Chameera was the comparable replacement for Mohit. During the seven games that Mohit played in the current season, he could only the scalp only a few counters while proving to be quite expensive with an economic rate of 10. Chameera, which impressed for the capital of Dubai in the recent edition of the T20 International League, finally had its chance to play in IPL 2025.

What did the captains say?

Axar Patel (DC)

We are going to play. Red flooring and there was also dew in the last match. If we mark out well, we can restrict them. We focused on what we have done well and the areas where we can improve. We don’t think too much. Impact player – We decide according to the situation. A change – Mohit Sharma is out, Chameera plays.

Rishabh Pant (LSG)

Certainly (would have been upset first). The way this counter plays, it stops a little in the first sleeves and over the game, it improves better and better. The hand is fine. (Things to keep in mind by striking first) It will be on the slowest side, but gradually, it becomes better and better when you continue to striker. So, not to lose too many counters is the only thing to keep in mind and play according to the situation. As a team, we don’t think about what’s going on around us. We focus only on where we can improve. We play with the same team.
