Players like Maxwell can inspire fear in opposition, even when they are below and outside. A good round can help him rediscover his lost contact in IPL. RCB hoped for such resurgence until last season, and PBKs are in the same position during the current season. Despite its lean patch, the captains tend to keep some of their best what elsewhere in the bank, so that they can be used to send the faithful packaging. These kinds of things make things easier for other strikers because they can face the questions that are not as threatening as launchers.
Another reason could be Maxwell’s versatile capacities. In addition to being a defensive player, even at the age of 37, Maxwell is much more than a part -time spinner. He has the strange talent to collect important counters and break partnerships. Last season, he won six counters at an average of 21.50 and an economic rate of 8.06 in the IPL. In IPL 2025, he represented four counters, with an average of 27.50 and conceding races at an economic rate of 8.46.
