This is really concerning for the Twins playoff hopes. Buxton has been our most consistent player when healthy and loosing him even for a few games against a division rival could really hurt us in standings. We cant afford to drop this series period.

So your telling me that a team that relies on ONE player to win series is supposed to be a contender? Thats laughable. If the Twins cant beat the Nats without Buxton then we got bigger problems then just injury concerns.

Why does everyone act like the Twins cant win without Buxton?? We got plenty of talent on this roster. Kepler, Correa, Polanco can all carry the team when needed. Stop being so negative all the time people.
Buxton is listed as day-to-day with that knee issue from last nights game. He took a awkward slide into second base in the 6th inning. The team haven’t made no official announcement yet but Rocco said their being cautious with him since its early in the season still.
Man if Buxton cant play were gonna be in trouble. The Nats aint no joke this season and we really need his bat in the lineup bad.

The bottom line is this the Twins need to develop better depth at center field. You cant build a championship team around a player who misses 40-50 games every season no matter how talented he is. Front office needs to address this in the offseason if not sooner.
Buxton “in question” is basically his permanent status at this point. Should we just start calling him Day-to-Day Byron?
I’m cautiously optimistic bout this series. The Nats pitching staff has been struggling lately with a 4.85 ERA over their last 10 games. If our guys can get the bats going early we should be fine even if Buxton sits out a game or two.
Not worried at all! This team has showed so much heart this year. Nats dont scare me one bit and we got the momentum right now. Twins in 3!! 💪⚾
