“He does not hunt Sachin Tendulkar because it is certainly not the way he plays his cricket or how he sees it,” said Buttler.“But it is the number two on an incredibly elite list, with what seems – if it remains in shape – a little achievable, which is absolutely breathtaking.“He has 21 cents since Covid. He is obviously in the form of his life and it’s great to watch,” he added.The former fast launcher of England and co-host of the Podcast, Stuart Broad, asked to buttler: “Are you sitting there and think that it is a fact that he will do it?”Buttler replied: “It could be a little more in his favor.”

“Hunger is never a problem I see with Root. He is not going to wake up in 2-3 years and thinks that he does not have love for the striker or the game for England. He has just played so well, even during this period when England won a match in 17 years and he was captain.“But he just doesn’t see him at all. What, I think, is the great thing about him. He just likes to play and win matches. So, it’s going to be pretty cool to watch if it stays at No. 2 or the scale of Everest and goes to No. 1.”The fifth and last test of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy will be played in Thursday.
