People acting like he’s terrible but conveniently forget he started in a Super Bowl. Name me another available CB with that resume? I’ll wait. Yeah he’s not perfect but he’s better than what we got on the practice squad right now.
Apple has played for 6 teams in 7 seasons – Giants, Saints, Panthers, Bengals, Dolphins and now 49ers. Career stats: 326 tackles, 7 INTs, 76 passes defended. He’s 28 years old and was a first round pick back in 2016.
Oh great, just what we needed – another ‘veteran presence’ who’ll get burned on every deep route. I’m sure this will work out perfectly, just like all our other secondary signings this year.

Look I get it, everyone loves to hate on Apple but the reality is our CB room is thin as paper right now with all the injurys. Is he elite? No. But he knows NFL defenses and can step in if needed. Low risk move that makes sense even if it’s not excitting.

Finally! We needed some depth at CB and Apple brings playoff experiance. This could be huge for our secondary heading into the strech run!!!
