Former cricket player Sanjay Manjrekar raised concerns about the current fitness challenges faced by the rapid quarrers of India before the fourth test against England. Manjrekar said that Indian sewing quisors do not stay in good shape long, calling it a “serious problem” which must be resolved by Indian cricket.
India is preparing for the essential match in Old Trafford in Manchester, from July 23. They follow the 1-2 follow-up in the five game series. However, their preparations were disrupted by injuries to several key players, adding pressure on the visit side after their 22 -point defeat at Lord’s during the third test.
Akash Deep ruled the fourth test against England in Manchester
Akash Deep, who played a crucial role in India’s victory at Edgbaston, is faced with a groin injury. The 28 -year -old man returned to action after recovering from a back injury suffered during the tour in Australia, who had sidelined him for three months. He returned to IPL 2025 for Lucknow’s Super Giants.

Akash Deep replaced the Jasprit Bumrah rest in the second test and delivered a winning winning performance. He took 10 counters, including 6-99 in the second round, helping India at a 336-point victory. However, he could not reproduce this form at Lord, managing a single counter on both rounds.
The couturier of the left arm Arshdeep Singh suffered an injury to his bowling hand during a training session in Beckenham. In response to injuries, the pace of Haryana Ashhul Kamboj was added to the team for the last two games in the series.
All young sewing sisters not tested with talent – Sanjay Manjrekar after the injury of Akash Deep
Sanjay Manjrekar said India has rhythmic bowling options, but most of them are inexperienced. He noted that India had a limited basin of couturiers tested, despite the presence of raw talents.
“I think there is a choice. But there are all the young sewing quisters not tested with talent. Arshdeep is an exciting option, and Ashhul Kamboj too. I liked Rarshit Rana in the only test he played in Australia. There will always be couture.
Jasprit Bumrah should play three tests in the current series as part of workload management. He underwent a back problem during the fifth test against Australia in Sydney earlier this year. The 31 -year -old stimulator has taken precautions to avoid other injuries.
We simply do not have our fast that is in good shape long – Sanjay Manjrekar
Sanjay Manjrekar said that Couturiers de India find it difficult to stay in shape. Manjrekar added that Kash Deep has not played much throughout the season but has always suffered an injury. He called this a “serious problem” and urged the BCCI to investigate the deep cause.
“With IPL, white ball cricket and tests, we simply do not have our fast -fitness that is long -fitted. Akash Deep is a blatant example. It is not as if he had completed a lot throughout the season, and therefore, now, the management of the workload was not processed,” said Manjrekar.
“I think it has become a serious problem where you do not have any Indian sewing quarrers who stay in shape long enough, and this must be addressed by Indian cricket. We see young fascinating bowling talents in IPL, and after three games, they are not seen next season. Someone has to go to the bottom,” he added.
