  1. This is actually significant. Austria tournaments have been good stepping stones historically. Thiem won there early in his career, and look what happened to him. Not saying Cazaux will reach that level but its definitly a good sign for his development

  2. YES!! Been following him since challengers, so happy to see him breakthrough! His forehand is absolutely lethal when hes on

  3. Another French player reaching a final… but can he actually close it out? Their track record in finals hasnt been great lately if you look at the stats

  4. Everyone acting like reaching ONE final means anything. Remember when Basilashvili won multiple titles and now where is he?? This sport is brutal and one good week doesnt mean your made it

  5. Oh wonderful, another “first career final” story. I’m sure this will definitely lead to a grand slam title and not just fade into obscurity like the last 50 “breakthrough” players we’ve heard about.

  6. Wait did he beat anyone good or just journeymen? Article doesnt even say who he played lol. Classic tennis reporting – all hype no details

  7. Wow congrats to Cazaux!! This is huge for him, first final is always special. Hope he can take the tittle tommorow!

  8. Great achievement but lets be real the level of competition in Austria wasnt exactly top tier this week. Half the top seeds pulled out

  9. I dont get the hype honestly. He barely made it through and got lucky with the draw. Lets see if he can actually win something before we start celebrating.

  10. For those wondering, Cazaux is currently ranked around 67 in the world. This is his breakthrough tournament – he beat two seeded players to reach the final. His serve has improved alot this year which has been key to his sucess.

  11. Ah yes, the classic “reaches first final” headline. Right up there with “shows promise” and “has potential” in the tennis journalism starter pack. Wake me up when he actually wins something meaningful.
