This actually raises important question about transparency in appointment process. BCCI should have clear guidelines about coach selections. However targeting Morkel and Ten Doeschate specifically seems unfair when they both have good track records in coaching roles across various franchise.
Finally BCCI is taking some action! About time they looked into these coaching appointments. Gambhir’s choices has been questionable from day one and now we are seeing the results on field.
For context: Morne Morkel was South African fast bowler and Ryan Ten Doeschate played for Netherlands. Both have extensive coaching experience in IPL. The issue seems to be about appointment process rather than their qualifications itself.
This is complete nonsense. Gambhir knows cricket better than any BCCI official sitting in their AC offices. Morkel and Ten Doeschate are proven coaches with international experience why they under scanner??
I think everyone need to calm down and wait for official statement. Media always blow things out of proportion. Maybe its just routine review nothing serious.

So BCCI suddenly discovered that Gambhir made “personal choices”? Did they think he would consult horoscope or use random selector? Obviously he will choose people he trust and worked with before. What were they expecting exactly?

Absolute disgrace!! Gambhir has barely started his tenure and already BCCI is interfering. This is why Indian cricket will never move forward – too much politics, too little actual cricket sense. Let the man do his job!
