  1. Finally someone talking about this! The curse is real guys. Stats dont lie – India’s record at Oval in deciders is pretty bad historically. But this team is diferent, they got better bowling attack and Gill is in form of his life.

  2. This is so excitting! I’m confident in our boys. Shubman has that X factor. Yes mistakes happen and pressure is real but this generation of players are mentally stronger. They grew up watching Kohli fight in Australia, Dhoni win worldcups. They know how to win.

  3. The key isnt just Gill tho. What about Siraj, Bumrah, Jadeja? This is team game not individual sport. Yes Gill can score runs but if bowlers dont take 20 wickets we loose regardless. Need complete team performance to win at Oval not just one batsmans heroics.

  4. Honestly I dont think so. India has history of collapsing in oval especialy in 5th test. Shubman is good player but one man cant change entire teams mentality. We seen this pattern to many times now.

  5. Curse of the 5th match… right next to the curse of the second tuesday and the curse of wearing blue socks. Come on guys we’re better than this superstitious nonsense in 2024.

  6. Maybe the real curse was the friends we made along the way? No but seriously calling it a ‘curse’ is just lazy journalism. Analyze the actual cricket instead of creating drama.

  7. Curse? Really? What about the fact that England plays better at home and knows the conditions better? Has nothing to do with supernatural things and everything to do with home advantage. Stop making excuses.

  8. Oh yes, because believing in curses is exactly how cricket works lol. Maybe we should also check the horoscope before team selection? Its just cricket, not black magic ffs.

  9. GILL IS THE FUTURE!!! This young man will brake all curses. Have faith in Indian cricket. We are not the same team from 10 years ago. Our bench strenght alone can beat most teams. Curse will end this time mark my words!!

  10. I disagree with most people here. Gill has temperament for big games, hes shown it already. The problem is middle order, not opening. If Gill and Rohit give good start but middle order collapses again then what? Blaming curse is easier than fixing actual problems in team composition.

  11. Lmao imagine thinking Shubman Gill is going to be the curse breaker when he cant even handle swing bowling properly yet. Sure buddy, lets make him the messiah of Indian cricket already.
