The Mumbai Indians (MI) came to a victory commanded to seven counters against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 41st 2025 IPL match. After winning the draw and chose to play first, the MI quatters executed their plans with precision to restrict SRH to a modest 143/8 in 20 Overs.
Trent Boult was the spotlight with the ball, claiming 4 counters for 26 points, driving up the top and the lower order of SRH. He withdrew Travis Head for a duck and returned later to reject Abhishek Sharma (8), Abhinav Manohar (43) and Pat Cummins (1). Deepak Chahar also bypassed two crucial hair leathers, including Ishan Kishan (1) and Nitish Reddy (2). Heinrich Klaansen was the only SRH warrior, breaking 71 out of 44 bullets, with nine four and two, before falling to Jasprit Bumrah in the 19th.
In response, MI took a flying start despite the loss of Ryan Rickelton early for 11 years. Rohit Sharma led the pursuit with a style with a Blister 70 on 46 balls, supported well by Will Jacks (22 of 19) and Suryakumar Yadav (40 * OFF 19). Mi continued the target in just 15.4 Overs, ending at 146/3, presenting their domination with the bat.
The victory sees the Mumbai Indians climbing third on the point table, making a solid statement in the second half of the tournament. Meanwhile, Hyderabad Sunrisers continue to fight, now languid the second time in the ranking.
