  1. This is actually smart move by the trainers. Calf strains can become chronic if you dont rest them properly at first. The boot immobilizes the muscle and prevents compensation injuries. Seen this alot with athletes rushing back to soon and then missing half the season later.

  2. Man this aint good at all… we need him healthy for the season to start not limping around in a boot already smh

  3. Oh great another injury to our starting QB what else is new in Gainesville. Maybe we should just wrap all our players in bubble wrap at this point cause this is getting ridiculous year after year

  4. NOOOOO! Our whole season depends on this kid staying healthy. Why cant we ever catch a break with injuries?? Every single year its something new with our QBs.

  5. Calf injuries typically take 2-4 weeks to heal depending on the grade of the strain. The boot is precautionary and actually a good sign there managing it early. He should be fine by week 1 if they dont rush him back to practice.

  6. Not worried at all! The medical staff knows what their doing and its just precaution. DJ gonna ball out this season mark my words!!

  7. Why are people freaking out? Its a boot not a surgery. Let the kid heal properly instead of rushing him back and making it worst. Better now than week 3 of the season

  8. Yall need to chill out its literally just a calf strain not a torn ACL or nothing serious. He’ll be good to go soon enough. Have some faith in the process!
