The Chicago emotional cubs will turn to the right -handed Véta Colin Rea on Tuesday evening with the very purpose of their three -game series with the host Milwaukee and will return to a link with the Brewers at the top of the Central of the National League.

REA (8-4, 4.06 ERA), which launched the two previous seasons for Milwaukee, will oppose his right-wing comrade (9-2, 3.28). Priestter has won his last eight decisions.

Milwaukee moved a match in front of the Cubs with an 8-4 victory on Monday in the opening of the series one day when the Cubs lost their legendary second goal player, Ryne Sandberg, against prostate cancer at the age of 65.

Sandberg was an All-Star at 10 times and a winner of nine times Gold Glove in 15 seasons for the Cubs. He was chosen as the most useful player in the National League in 1984, when he struck 0.314 with totals of 114 points and 19 triple to go with 19 circuits and 84 points produced. He was inducted into the national baseball renowned temple in 2005.

After the defeat of the Cubs on Monday, the manager Craig Counsell said: “I just addressed the team and I told them the news of the death of Ryno. We are saddened by the loss of a great man.

“We were lucky as a group this year to have Ryno in spring training, and it was an honor to be with a man who fights for his life, but I wanted to come to the baseball park and spend his day with us. I know that it meant a lot for everyone in it. We are grateful that he was ready to spend his time with us when things were not very well.”

“So it’s a sad day for the Chicago Cubs, and he was a big little one.”

On Monday, the Brewers overcome a trembling departure from the recruit of the Jacob Miriorowski stars, which gave three points during the first round with the help of a wild land loaded and its own launch error.

Christian Yelich, Andrew Vaughn and Sal Frelick each dominated for Milwaukee.

Rea is 3-1 with an MPM of 3.04 in four starts in July, lasts at least five rounds each time.

He suffered the defeat during his last departure, granting six points (five deserved) and three circuits in five rounds during a defeat of 8-4 against Kansas City on Wednesday.

Rea abandoned 19 circuits, fifth more in the national league this season.

In his only appearance against Milwaukee, in 2020, he made three points on four strokes in 3 1/3 of sleeves in non-term.

Kyle Tucker extended her basic sequence at 17 games on Monday with a single and two walks.

After winning a victory during his last appearance in May, Priestter was 4-0 with 1.98 MPM in five games in June. It is 3-0 in four appearances, including three departures this month.

During his last departure, Priestter granted two points in seven rounds during a 10-2 victory in Seattle on Wednesday.

“Insidate our guys in the canoe, that’s my goal,” said Priestter after his last departure. “We were on a hot sequence, and it is so difficult to support this, right? This explains why it is so difficult to be in the big leagues and win matches here.”

PRIESTER is 0-0 with an MPM of 9.58 in two career apparitions against CUBS, including this season when he granted seven points in 4 1/3 rounds in early May.

Vaughn, acquired from the White Sox of Chicago last month for the Aaron Civale launcher, was called from Triple-A Nashville when the first Rhys Hoskins player went to the IL with a thumb injury. In 14 games with Milwaukee, Vaughn Bat .341 with four circuits, four doubles and 15 products.

The Brewers mixed their enclosure before the match on Monday, calling the right-hander Craig Yoho of Triple-A and sending the right-hander Tobias Myers.

Yoho relieved to start the ninth round on Monday and published a pair of two steps, forcing Trevor Megill to come and release the final.

  1. Does anyone know if Rea actually has bad blood with the Brewers or is this just another made up storyline? I cant find any quotes from him saying anything negative about Milwaukee

  2. Great game by Rea no doubt but lets be real the Brewers lineup isnt exactly murderers row this year. There struggling just as much as we are. Still a win is a win I guess

  3. The “emotional” angle is so overblown by sports media. These are professional athletes they face former teams all the time. Rea pitched well because he’s been pitching well all season, not because of some Hollywood revenge story narrative.

  4. For those wondering, Colin Rea pitched for the Brewers organization from 2020-2022 before being released. He signed with the Cubs in the off-season and has posted a 3.87 ERA in 6 starts this year. Yesterday’s performance was his best outing against his former club with 7 innings, 2 earned runs, and 8 strikeouts.

  5. I love how one decent start against a mediocre team and suddenly Rea is our ace. Where was this energy when he gave up 6 runs to the Cardinals last week?? Cubs fans have the shortest memorys I swear

  6. Oh great, we beat the Brewers once and now everyone acting like we won the World Series. Rea had one good game, lets see if he can do it consistantly before we start throwing parade.

  7. Man Rea really stepped up big time! You can tell he wanted this one bad against his old team. The emotion was writen all over his face when he was pitching. Cubs needed this W so badly!!

  8. This is what happens when you got a pitcher with something to proof. Rea was dealing out there. Brewers probably regreting letting him go now lol

  9. So basically the Cubs can only win when their pitchers have “revenge games”? What happens the rest of the season when theres no motivation? This team is going nowhere fast I’m telling you

  10. Emotions win baseball games now? Wow, revolutionary strategy right there. Maybe next time we can just have all our pitchers face their former teams every game and we’ll go undefeated!

  11. Ah yes, nothing says “professional baseball” like letting your emotions control your performance. I’m sure that’ll work out great in October… oh wait, the Cubs aren’t making October anyway 😂

  12. People keep saying Rea “dominated” but he gave up 2 runs and the Brewers had plenty of chances. Our bullpen almost blew it in the 9th inning anyway. This wasnt as impressive as everyone making it out to be honestly
