The rotation of the Giants of San Francisco took another hit when the right -hander Landen Roupp landed on the list of 15 days injured with inflammation of the elbow.

According to The Athletic.

The giants are reduced to three regular runners with All-Stars Logan Webb and Robbie Ray and the future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander.

“In flow,” said manager Bob Melvin about his rotation. “Probably Tuesday, we will have to take a step. … We have to be prepared for anything.”

Roupp, 26, is 7-6 with an MPM from 3.11 to 20 departures. He gave four strokes and withdrew six goals aimed in a 9-0 victory in Atlanta on Tuesday.

In a corresponding movement on Friday, San Francisco recalled the right-hander Tristan Beck of Triple-A Sacramento. Beck, 29, is 1-0 with an MPM of 5.14 in 11 games (no departures) this season for the Giants.

  1. Oh great, another “savior” pitcher. Remember when everyone said the same thing about every other callup? Roupp isnt gonna save this staff when management refuses to invest properly

  2. lmao the Giants are really out here like “our pitching staff is collapsing but hey look this one dude can throw strikes” 😂😂

  3. So the Giants solution to a decreasing pitching staff is… hoping one guy holds everything together? Brilliant strategy, really. What could possibly go wrong with overworking your only reliable arm?

  4. I dont get why everyones so excited?? Hes had like what 3 good games? Lets see how he does when teams actually have footage on him and can prepare. The staff problems are way bigger than this

  5. Roupp’s been impressive but we gotta remember context here. He’s facing lineups that are also struggling. His secondary pitches need more consistancy before we crown him anything. Still, promising signs for sure.

  6. Typical Giants managment. Let the whole staff fall apart and then act suprise when one guy has to carry the entire team. This is why we cant compete anymore!!

  7. “Pitching staff decreases” is putting it mildly lol. More like “pitching staff completely implodes while front office pretends everything is fine.” But sure, lets talk about Roupp’s strikeouts instead of the dumpster fire. Classic Giants PR spin.

  8. Wait so Roupp is actualy good now?? I remember when he was just another prospect lol. Seems like the Giants finaly found somone to rely on when eveyone else is falling apart

  9. Roupp’s strikeout rate has increased significantly compared to his minor league numbers. His fastball velocity sits around 93-94 mph with good movement on his slider. The concern is whether he can maintain this performance with increased workload as other pitchers go down.

  10. Am I the only one who thinks this is just setting Roupp up for failure?? Your gonna burn him out before he even establishes himself. This organization never learns from there mistakes with young pitchers

  11. One guys strikes out a few batters and suddenly hes the answer?? What about the fact that our ENTIRE pitching staff is injured or underperforming. Maybe focus on the real problem here instead of celebratng one decent outing
