  1. Wow what a match! 1444 runs is absolut madness. Pitch was totally flat, no help for bowlers at all. I remember watching this and thinking batting paradise for sure. Both teams went crazy with the bat, fantastic entertainment even if bowlers suffered badly lol

  2. Ah yes, the ‘paradise of strikers’… because nothing says competitive sport like a pitch where bowlers might as well bring a white flag instead of a cricket ball. Truly riveting stuff.

  3. Classic Oval pitch behavior in late season match. Groundsman needs to be questioned tbh, this not acceptable for international Test. Where is seam movement or spin from day 3?

  4. For context, the match in question featured exceptional batting conditions. The Oval has historically been a batter-friendly venue in late summer when pitch dries out. This particular Test saw multiple double hundreds and batting records tumble. The aggregate score of 1444 runs across four innings represents one of the highest scoring Tests at this ground.

  5. 1444 runs and everyone acting surprised lol. What did people expect when Oval pitch looks like concrete highway? But hey at least we got entertainment value even if Test match ‘purity’ went out window. Bowlers will have nightmares for weeks after this one 😅

  6. Oh great, 6 centuries and triple ton! Must have been SO difficult for batsmen out there. I’m sure the bowlers had a wonderful time getting absolutely smashed around for days. Peak Test cricket right here folks 👏

  7. Such entertaining match though! Yes pitch was flat but the strokeplay was magnificent from both sides. Sometimes its okay to just enjoy free flowing cricket without overthinking it

  8. Hahaha imagine being the fast bowler in this match! Running in for 3 days just to see ball flying everywhere 😂 Even my grandmother could score runs on that pitch probably. But seriously was fun to watch all those big shots and records breaking!

  9. People saying pitch was too flat are missing the point completely!! This was skillful batting, not just easy pitch. England played brilliant cricket and so did India. Maybe bowlers need to adapt better instead of always blaming conditions? Test cricket is about adapting to situations.

  10. This is whats wrong with modern Test cricket honestly. Where is the balance between bat n ball?? Oval pitch was dead pitch, no contest at all. 6 centuries in one match is joke, not proper Test cricket in my opinion
