  1. Totally agree with this! Gambhir’s tactics have been questionable throughout the series but our players are so talented they overcame his weird decisions. He need to relax and trust the team more instead of over thinking every move.

  2. I think the point here is valid though. Sometimes coaches can overthink situations and that create pressure on players unnecessarily. Gambhir should have more faith in his squad abilities and let them play natural game. We have world class players afterall.

  3. Despite his decisions? LMAO! Next you’ll tell us India won despite having players on the field. Pure genius observation right there buddy.

  4. Gambhir be like: ‘I studied 500 hours of opponent footage’ and then sends in a part-timer to bowl the final over 😂😂 But hey atleast the boys are winning so can’t complain much haha

  5. How can you say he needs chill pill?? His tactics won us matches! Yes some decisions were not perfect but which coach is 100% correct always? This kind of articles just create negativity in team atmosphere when we should supporting them!

  6. If you look at the statistics, India’s win rate under Gambhir is actually comparable to previous coaches. However, his tactical decisions in powerplay overs has been conservative – average run rate dropped by 0.8 compared to last season. The team success is more attributed to individual brilliance of Rohit, Virat and Bumrah rather than coaching strategies.

  7. This is nonsense article. Gambhir is doing great job as coach what are you even talking about?? Without his strategic mind we wouldn’t won half the matches. Stop criticizing everything just for clicks.

  8. Interesting take but I feel its oversimplified. Yes tactical decisions weren’t always optimal but coaching is much more than just match tactics – its about team morale, fitness regimes, practice sessions etc. Hard to judge complete performance based only on field decisions we see on TV.

  9. Complete rubbish take! You clearly don’t understand cricket tactics at all. Every decision Gambhir made had logical reasoning behind it. Maybe try learning the game before writing such articles next time?

  10. Oh yes, of course Gambhir needs a ‘chill pill’ because clearly the problem with Indian cricket is that the coach cares TOO much about winning. Maybe he should just sit back, drink chai and let the team figure it out themselves? Brilliant analysis!
