ASIA 2025 Cup schedule: According to the provisional schedule, the India vs Pakistan shock will perform on September 14.

The Asia Cup 2025 is going to be held finally, after the confirmation tweet by ACC and PCB head Mohsin Naqvi, and a few hours after that, the schedule for the September tournament in UAE, is out too. Yes, the Asia Cup schedule is out and the much-awaited IND vs PAK clash is set to take place on September 14.

The schedule further says that India will play their first match vs UAE on September 10, followed by the India-Pakistan contest, and then the India vs Oman match on the 19th. That means, India is slotted in group A along with Pakistan, Oman and UAE. The Group B will have Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong.

“This year marks yet another
milestone in ACC’s journey and a noteworthy development for cricket in Asia. With the
inclusion of additional teams in the tournament, we are witnessing the game’s boundaries
expand, both geographically and competitively. This will be Asia Cup at its finest
,” ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi said.

India vs Pakistan on September 14

With India-Pakistan in the same group, that means both the teams can face-off thrice in the competition, if they go the distance in the tournament. First will be the league stages, then in Super 4, and lasty the final. Meanwhile, the Asia Cup will be in T20 format, keeping in mind the next year’s T20 World Cup.

It is important to note, that India had recently declined to play Pakistan in the WCL 2025. Just a day before their match in Birmingham, the likes of Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and Shikhar Dhawan had refused to play in the legends league. But then, sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya had clarified, that India will play Pakistan in multi-team events, but no bilateral ties.

  8. This is ridiculous! Why ACC always favor certain teams with scheduling? The gap between matches not even distributed fairly. Some teams get more rest periods than others which is completely biased approach.

  9. This tournament format seems problematic. ACC hasn’t considered weather conditions in selected venues properly. Also why they not consulting with players before finalizing such tight schedule? This could lead to injuries and poor quality cricket.
