MS Dhoni is set to achieve a remarkable milestone, playing his 400th T20 match when Chennai Super Kings take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on April 25. With this feat, Dhoni will become the fourth Indian cricketer to reach the 400-game mark in the shortest format. Leading the list is Rohit Sharma, who has played 456 matches, followed by Dinesh Karthik with 412 games and Virat Kohli, who has featured in 407 T20 encounters.

His IPL journey has been nothing short of legendary, featuring in 272 matches and scoring 5377 runs at a strike rate of 137.87. Besides the IPL, Dhoni has represented Jharkhand in domestic cricket and starred in the Champions League T20, where he played 24 matches for CSK, contributing 449 runs.
Despite Dhoni’s historic achievement, both CSK and SRH find themselves in a difficult position this season. Having won only two out of eight matches, they are languishing at the bottom of the table.
Chennai, due to their lower net run rate, currently sit in 10th place, while Hyderabad isn’t far ahead. With just six games left, both teams must secure victories in all remaining fixtures to keep their playoff hopes alive.
