One day after being struck in the face by a field, the third goal of the Nationals of Washington, Paul Dejong, was placed on the list of injuries of 10 days with a fractured nose on Wednesday.
To fill the place of the Dejong list, Washington recalled the interior player Trey Lipscomb of Triple-A Rochester.
At the top of the sixth round of the victory of the 3-0 Tuesday nationals against the pittsburgh hosts, Dejong was struck in the nose by a quick 92.7 MPH ball from the start of the Mitch Keller pirates.
Dejong, 31, immediately fell and was followed by team coaches for a few moments. He then got out of the field and in the canoe while holding a towel on his face.
