Kurtz will seek to continue his hot sequence on Sunday afternoon when the four astros games were scanned.
On Friday, Kurtz became not only the 20th player in the major league to reach four circuits in a match, but he also equaled the major league record of 19 bases in total. Kurtz, who made his debut in the big league on April 23, hit 0.309 for the season, with 23 circuits and 59 points produced in 243 At-Bats on 67 games.
Despite its impressive results, Kurtz – The fourth overall choice of Wake Forest’s 2024 recovery – faces unexplored waters.
“This child is 22 years old,” said athletics director Mark Kotsay. “I don’t know if he has reached the physicity you get at 27 years old. I don’t know what else he can add.
“Nick is going through it a little right now. Wear, the legs are heavy. The day after, the day, 13 (games) in a row that we are in the end of, he has consequences. All these guys on this list that have not played a full season, that’s it. And we still have a long way to go.”
The right-handed right-handed JT Ginn (1-2, 4.50 ERA) has the starting mission for athletics on Sunday.
Ginn gave one point on five strokes and a walk with two stick withdrawals in five rounds against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. However, he did not take into account the decision of a loss of 6-2.
Its seven previous outings before this start were in relief and, as a lifter, Ginn has an MPM of 4.11 without registering a decision. He has an MPM of 4.76 in five starts.
Ginn made two reciprifications in career in career against the Astros and has an MPM of 3.86 with two points, three strokes and an authorized walk with five stick withdrawals on 4 2/3 rounds.
The left-handed left of Colton Gordon (4-2, 4.53 ERA) is the planned starter of astros. It is 1-1 with an MPM of 5.82 in its last four appearances and three departures, with more authorized points won (11) than stick withdrawals (10) in 17 sleeves. Gordon was 3-0 with an MPM of 2.14 in four departures last month, producing 18 sticks to the stick against only two steps in 21 rounds.
Gordon did not take into account the decision of a loss of road of 6-4 and 10 rounds against athletics on June 19 after granting three points (two deserved) on seven strokes and a walk with four sticks in the stick in five sleeves.
In a certain statistical oddity, the astros allowed opponents to score first in 17 consecutive games, going 7-10 in these competitions. Houston won six of these games on the road, but the difficulties of the home team were amplified during the sequence.
With the defeat against athletics on Saturday, the Astros lost eight of their last nine games at home.

Kurtz is absolutly on fire right now!! If he can keep this momemtum going threw the Astros series, we might actualy have a shot at making some noise this season. His bat has been electric lately.

The real question is can his defense keep up with his offense? Hes been making some questionable plays in the field lately and against a team like Houston that takes advantage of mistakes, he needs to be sharp on both sides of the ball.
LOL ‘stay hot’ – the guy had like TWO good games and everyones acting like he’s the next MVP. Let me know when he does this for a full month, not just a couple series against weak pitching.
Yeah right, like he’s gonna maintain that level against Houston’s pitching staff lol. Everyone knows hes gonna regress to the mean eventualy. This hot streak is probaly just luck anyway.
I don’t get why everyone thinks the Astros are such a tough matchup?? There pitching hasn’t been that great this year and Kurtz has shown he can hit velocity. If anything, this is the perfect time for him to prove himself.
For those wondering about the stats: Kurtz is batting .347 over his last 15 games with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs. His OPS during this strech is 1.124 which puts him in elite company. The Astros pitching staff has an ERA of 3.82 as a team, so this will definitly be a good test of wheather his hot streak is sustainable or not.
