  1. Oh sure, lets just sign every first rounder to 3 years because that always works out perfectly. Remember the last ‘cant miss’ prospect? Yeah me neither cause he’s in the AHL now lmao.

  2. Finally!! Been waiting for this since draft day. Guilday is exactly what we needed, kid can shoot and he’s got great vision. Yeah he needs to work on some stuff but who doesnt at that age? Give him time and he’ll be amazing.

  3. Wow a whole 3 years! That’ll definitely solve all our problems! Can’t wait to see him score 5 goals in his rookie year and everyone pretending like this was a genius move. But hey at least management looks like their doing something right?

  4. Great signing! Guilday gonna be a star in this leauge. Finally some good news for the team this season, really exited to see what he can do on the ice.

  5. 3 years?? Are they crazy? This kid barely played college hockey and their giving him that much term. Should of done a bridge deal first see what he got. Management never learns do they.

  6. Everyone saying this is good but did anyone actualy watch him play? He disappears in big games, cant win board battles, and his defensive game is terrible. Your all gonna be crying in year 2 when we cant move this contract.

  7. People need to chill out with the negativity. Its a entry level contract their all basically the same structure anyway. The real question is can the coaching staff develope him properly cause we all know our track record there aint great. But im cautiously optimistic about Guilday, seems like a good kid with a solid work ethic.

  8. My buddy who scouts for junior teams says Guilday work ethic is insane. Apparently he’s first one on ice last one off every practise. Yeah he got stuff to work on but you cant teach that kind of dedication. I think this gonna work out better then people expect honestly.

  9. For those wondering, Guilday had 23 goals and 41 assists in his final college season. His skating needs work but his hockey IQ is off the charts. Most draft analysts had him going top 15 so getting him where we did was actually pretty good value when you think about it.
