The Texas Rangers placed the first Jake Burger base player on the 10 -day injured list on Saturday due to a left oblique tension.

In a corresponding movement, the Rangers recalled that the first goal player of the Recruit Justin Foscue by Triple-A Round Rock.

Burger, 29, felt a waterproofing on his left side during a swing with the seventh round of the 6-2 victory of the Rangers at Pittsburgh on Friday evening.

“I hoped to enter the scan that it was only a kind of cramp,” said Burger on Saturday. “I think that, for me, I treated this in the past, and it was quite fast. My mind is over 11 days. I will let my body tell me and work with training staff and force staff, but my mind is the 11th day, and come back as soon as possible.”

Burger strikes .220 with 10 circuits and 29 points produced in 65 games. He is second in the team with 13 doubles.

For his career, Burger is an .246 striker with 82 circuits and 214 points produced in 409 games for the Chicago White Sox (2021-23), Miami Marlins (2023-24) and Rangers. He was sidelined for about three weeks last season with the Marlins due to left intercostal tension. He missed about 10 days with slight oblique tension while playing for the White Sox in 2023.

Foscue, 26, played 15 games last season for the Rangers and beat .048 (2-in-42) with a product point. Texas selected it 14th in the general classification of the 2020 MLB draft of the state of Mississippi. He struck .269 with 10 circuits and 37 points produced in 50 games for Round Rock.

Rangers’ interior field player, Ezequiel Duran, who strikes. 143 (7-in-49) in 24 games, could get the head of the first goal, said manager Bruce Bochy.

“I would like to give Zeke a track here,” said Bochy. “I think he got better, and he gives us a good option there at the first goal. It was good to see him do some adjustments.”
