  1. An All-Star out for the season? Perfect timing! At least now we dont have to worry about making the playoffs or anything stressful like that. Who needs ace pitchers anyway when you can just loose games the old fashioned way.

  2. Everyone acting like this is a suprise but did anyone actually watch him pitch last month?? His velocity was down and his mechanics looked off. This was coming from a mile away. Team doctors shouldve caught this earlier instead of letting him pitch through it and make it worse.

  3. Wishing him all the best in his recovery. These injuries are tough but with modern medicine and proper rehab he should be back stronger next year. Stay positive Kris!

  4. I blame the pitching coach honestly. They been overworking these guys all season long and now look what happens. Bubic threw like 110 pitches in that game against the Yankees last week, that’s way to many for a guy whose already dealing with soreness.

  5. Classic Royals. Finally get something good going and the universe says NOPE. Why do I even bother being a fan anymore lmao 😭

  6. Oh wow what a surprise, a pitcher got injured. Never seen that before in the history of baseball. Im sure the front office is SHOCKED that throwing a ball 95 mph a hundred times a game might cause some wear and tear. Truly unexpected.

  7. At least it happened now and not during the playoffs… oh wait we aint making the playoffs anyway LMAO 😂😂

  8. Man this is just devistating news for the Royals. Bubic was having such an amazing season and now its just gone like that. Hope he recovers quick and comes back even stronger next year, we really gonna miss him on the mound.

  9. Great, just great. Another all-star down for the count. At this rate we’re gonna be fielding a triple-A team by September lol

  10. Oh great, an All-Star pitcher out for the season. But sure, let’s keep pretending that modern pitching mechanics and training methods are “better than ever.” Clearly working out perfectly lol

  11. So your telling me the guy who throws a baseball 95mph for a living hurt his shoulder? Im shocked. SHOCKED I tell you. Next your gonna tell me catchers get knee problems.

  12. Great, just great. Another season down the drain because our medical staff cant keep players healthy. This is the third major injury this month! How are we suppose to compete when our best guys keep getting hurt?? Management needs to answer for this.

  13. Everyone acting like this is the end of the world but honestly Bubic wasnt even that good this year if you look at his advanced metrics. His FIP was way higher than his ERA which means he was getting lucky. Maybe this gives some younger guys a chance to prove themselfs.

  14. This is huge blow but the Royals got decent depth in the rotation. Guys like Singer and Greinke can step up. Still makes playoff push alot harder tho not gonna lie.

  15. At least it happened now and not right before playoffs… oh wait we probably werent making playoffs anyway 🤷

  16. For those wondering, rotator cuff strains can take anywhere from 3-6 months to fully heal depending on severity. Given that he’s out for the season, its probably a grade 2 or 3 tear. Surgery might be needed if its a complete tear. Really unfortunate timing with how well he was pitching.

  17. Man this is devasting news for the Royals!! Bubic was really stepping up this season and now we gotta deal with this injury. Hope he recovers quick but rotator cuff injuries are no joke they can end careers sometimes.

  18. This is devastating news for KC. Bubic was having a career year and now this. Prayers up for a full recovery 🙏

  19. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Injuries are part of the game unfortunatly. The medical staff will take good care of him and hopefully he’ll be 100% for spring training next year. Stay positive Royals fans!

  20. So your telling me the guy named Bubic has a boo-boo? I mean the jokes write themselves here folks 😂 In all seriousness tho this sucks for KC but that name coincidence is pretty funny ngl

  21. This really hurts are playoff chances but I still believe in this team. We got good depth and the bullpen has been solid most of the year. Sending positive vibes to Bubic for a speedy recovery!

  22. Man this really sucks for Bubic and the team. He was pitching so good this year too! Hope he recovers quick but rotator cuff injurys are no joke, probly wont see him til next season at earliest.

  23. Everyone needs to calm down. Yes its bad but acting like one pitcher ruins everything is dumb. Teams deal with injuries every year. The good organizations adapt and overcome. Lets see what happens before declaring the season dead.

  24. I been saying all year they need to be more careful with pitch counts and rest days. But no, everyone wants to push there guys to the limit until something breaks. And look what happens. Maybe management will learn something from this but I doubt it.

  25. Rotator cuff strains typically require 3-6 months recovery time depending on severity. Given the timing this means hes definitely done for 2024. The Royals will need to look at there bullpen depth and maybe make some trades before the deadline.

  26. Honestly I dont get why everyone acting surprised. Pitchers get injured ALL THE TIME. Its part of baseball. Yeah it sucks but acting like the sky is falling is ridiculous. We got other guys who can step up.

  27. Does anyone know if this effects his contract situation? I think hes up for arbitration soon and this could really impact his value going forward. Not trying to be insensitive but its a business.

  28. Rotator cuff strains typically require 3-4 months of rehab for pitchers, but since its already late season they’ll probably shut him down completely. He was posting a 2.89 ERA with 127 strikeouts in 19 starts. The Royals will need to rely on their bullpen depth and maybe call up someone from Triple-A to fill the rotation spot.
