  1. Oh great, “aims for solid effort” – not even aims to WIN, just a solid effort. That’s like saying I’m aiming for a solid effort at my job instead of actually doing it good lmao. The bar is so low it’s underground at this point.

  2. So inspiring to see Sandy stay focused despite the teams struggles this year!! True professional right there.

  3. lol “solid effort” thats what we aiming for now?? not even trying to win anymore just hoping for solid effort haha. Marlins season in a nutshell right their.

  4. “Aims for solid effort” – wow such high expectations! Next week the headline will be “Marlins pitcher aims to show up to stadium on time.” The management really setting the bar high for this franchise huh?

  5. Alcantara always brings his A game when it matters most! The Cards better watch out cause Sandy gonna shut them down completly. Marlins need this win so bad right now.

  6. Why we even acting like the Marlins have a chance?? They been terrible all season and one pitcher aint gonna change nothing. Wake up people.

  7. You people are so negative all the time!! Sandy one of the best pitchers in baseball when he healthy. Yes the Marlins struggling but that don’t mean he cant have a great game. Baseball is unpredictible and any team can win on any given day. Show some support for once instead of just trashing everyone!

  8. Another overhyped pitcher who cant deliver when the pressure on. Cardinals lineup gonna light him up like a Christmas tree, just watch!

  9. Sandy’s ERA against the Cardinals this season is actually 3.24 over two starts with 14 strikeouts in 13.2 innings pitched. He’s been inconsistant lately tho – gave up 5 runs in his last outin against the Braves. The key will be his changeup which hasn’t had the same movement as early in the season.

  10. I still believe in Sandy!! He got the stuff to dominate any lineup when his on. Marlins fans gotta stay positive and support our ace through the ups and downs. Lets go fish!! 🐟

  11. Alcantara mechanics have looked off since that shoulder thing in June. His velocity down about 2 mph on average and he not locating the fastball like he use to. Unless he figures it out quick the Cards hitters – especially Goldschmidt and Arenado – will make him pay.
