Survey

Do you think the PCB made the right decision by focusing on T20is?

This tour will mark the first assignment of Mike Hesson in charge of the ODI team of Pakistan. The PCB has focused heavily on T20i cricket in the head of the T20 World Cup of next year, having even deleted the ODI leg of their home series against Bangladesh in May. Despite the reports suggesting that Pakistan preferred more than T20i to the ODIs against the Antilles, the 50-Over series remains intact. The team should reach the United States on July 27, after the end of its series in Bangladesh.

  1. Informative: The post title summarises the plan: Shaheen returns for the Antilles series; no place for Babar yet. This could indicate a tactical rebalancing, with pace and bowling depth prioritized. Fans should monitor official announcements for lineups and captaincy updates.

  2. Informative note: Shaheen return to the Pakistan squad for the Antilles series means added pace and leadership in the bowling unit. He brings control in powerplay and depth to the bowling options, which Pakistan needs. Still waiting for official confirmation; sometimes last minute changes happen before the series.

  3. Great news this is. Shaheen back in the squad, pace looks sharp and energy is up. Really hoping he leads the attack and brings some fire in the early spells. Babar not in yet, but the team still got chance if bowling clicks.

  4. Argumentative: Some people say Shaheen coming back fix all, but i think that dropping Babar is risky. He is captain and also a run-scorer when needed, removing him may hurt morale and discipline. If Shaheen earn his place, fine, but you cannot trade off Babar leadership; there gotta be balance and strategic planning.

  5. Comical: This post look like soap opera more then cricket match; Shaheen back, Babar nowhere; next drama will be if Kohli join as batter; anyway i just hope the match is good and not too many drama.

  6. Positive: Another positive sign for Pakistan cricket. Shaheen’s return gives belief in the bowling unit and fans like me are eager to see the pace thunder. If the batting clicks, we could be in mix for wins even with Babar not in the selection.

  7. Comical moment right here: Shaheen back, Babar still out, antilles series turning into a drama show. Will the top order show up or vanish like my snacks? Anyway good to see pace back in the squad; should be fun to watch.

  8. Negative: Not happy with this decision. Dropping Babar sends wrong message about senior players; he is the captain and need him on field. Antilles series, if this, the team might struggle to chase big totals; this not wise.

  9. Argumentative: The reasoning here is weak. If Shaheen is fit, he should be in the playing XI, but removing Babar from the squad means the team loses its best batsman and captaincy. There could be a middle ground: include both, and adjust fields and roles. Without Babar, the team lacks a central figure to anchor innings.

  10. Nice plan, drop Babar to give us more pace. Because obviously pace alone will win every chase. So excited for the middle order to face consistent pressure while the captain sits in the pavilion.

  11. Not sure why we dropping Babar, he is captain and you need your best players in the series. No space for him aint good sign, feels like politics more then merit. Shaheen back is nice but the balance might suffer without Babar’s bat.

  12. Ironic take here: Shaheen returns and Babar still not in, wow such consistency. Cricket without Babar captaincy feels like a boat without rudder; maybe the selectors want chaos. Anyway, i will watch to see how this drama pan out in the field.
