Shreyas Iyer made shocking revelations after taking the Kings of Punjab (PBKS) to the IPL 2025 final, where they lost the title against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on June 3 at the Narendra Moda stadium in Ahmedabad.

At this point, KKR, after internal discussions, decided to withdraw, leaving DC in the lead. But PBKS joined the competition because they needed a strong captain after having separated the means with Rishabh Pant. The auction war between the kings of Punjab and the capitals of Delhi saw the offer jump in crores every few seconds of 13 crores inr at 15 crore inr, 20 crores inr and a huge crore inr.
DC again pushed 24.5 inring inr then 25 crore inr. But Pbks was not yet finished. They increased the offer by 26.25 INR crores. DC took a moment to decide and raised the paddle with 26.50 INR crore, but PBKS fell with a breathtaking inr of 26.75 and Delhi fell.

Now Shreyas Iyer revealed that he was in talks with PBKS and DC before the mega sale at IPL 2025 auction, and he already knew that he would go to these sides.
