  1. This is EXACTLY whats wrong with track and field today!! Athletes picking and choosing what meets they wanna show up to. Back in my day you competed in everything and you was greatful for the opportunity. Now these guys act like their doing us a favor by showing up smh the sport is going downhill fast

  2. Missing the USATF championships to focus on “Miss Worlds” – is Fred competing in a beauty pageant now? 😂😂 Maybe he’ll win Miss Congeniality while hes at it lmaooo

  3. I get that people are upset but you have to understand the physical toll these competitions take. Fred Kerley is one of the top sprinters in the world right now and if his coach and team think its better to withdraw then their probly right. These athletes know there bodys better than we do and sometimes rest and recovery is more important then one meet.

  4. For those wondering, USATF Championships is typically used as selection for major international meets. Kerley withdrawing likely means he either has a automatic bye or is dealing with minor injury concerns that he doesn’t want to aggrevate before worlds. Its actually pretty common for established athletes.

  5. Another prima donna athlete thinking their to good for national championships lol. What makes him so special that he can just skip it?? Every other athlete has to compete why not him

  6. So basically he’s scared of the competition at nationals?? Because thats what it sounds like to me. If your really the best you should be able to compete anywhere anytime no excuses.

  7. Ah yes, because nothing says “champion” quite like not showing up to defend you’re title. Truly inspirational stuff here folks 👏

  8. Oh wow what a surprise, a top athlete withdrawing from a event. Never seen THAT before… Im sure its totally notStrategy or anything 🙄

  9. Good decicion for Fred honestly. Sometimes you gotta listen to your body and skip events to stay healthy for the bigger picture. Miss Worlds is probly not as important as staying injury free.

  10. Wait so he’s just gonna skip nationals like that?? This dont make no sense to me man. He worked so hard to get where he is and now he pulling out? smh
