Former India cricket player Sanjay Manjrekar castigated the captain of England for his driving after calling a draw before the last hour in Manchester.“Ben Stokes behaved like a spoiled child,” said Sanjay Manjrekar on Jiohotstar. Former English cricket player Jonathan Trott, however, defended Ben Stokes.“The current practice in England and the mentality of Ben Stokes is that there are no personal milestones. If you are proposed to finish the game earlier, it was taken,” said Trott. Manjrekar was quick to correct Trott and said: “Trott comes from a different culture. The whole world does not play according to English cricket.” Jadeja and Washington hit 89 and 80 respectively before the start of the last hour of play when the skipper of England Ben Stokes, aware that a result was out of reach, offered to shake hands. However, with milestones at the corner of the street, the Indian strikers refused, which did not amusing Stokes, who then introduced Brook into the attack for launching deliberate complete tosses, allowing the two to complete their well -deserved tons.“I didn’t have a problem with that. England seemed to have a problem with that. They were a little tired and tired of the quieurs, so they wanted to go down, but two guys worked hard to go in the 80s and 90s and they wanted to get hundreds of test tests,” said Hussain on `Sky Sports ”.“Stokes didn’t have to play in Brook and looked silly at the end. We are doing too much of these things. They played well and all the merit of India,” said Hussain. When Chetehwar Pujara asked Washington Sundar the same question, he circumvented the problem.“I think everyone saw on television what happened and they all had to appreciate it,” said Washington on Jiohotstar.

  1. For those who didnt watch the match, Stokes got upset after a questionable LBW decision in the 47th over. He had words with umpire and kicked the ground near the stumps. ICC code of conduct clearly states such behavior can result in demerit points or fine.

  2. This is absoulte rubbish!! Stokes was just showing passion for the game. You people critize everything the England team does. May be focus on your own teams shortcomings instead of pointing fingers all the time???

  3. Did anyone see his face when the decision was given lmaooo. Man looked like someone stole his lunch money. I bet the umpire was terrfied Stokes might actually cry on field. Comedy gold! England cricket = drama serial confirmed

  4. Totally agree with this assesment. Stokes was acting like he owns the pitch and can do whatver he wants. His attitude towards the umpires was discraceful and not what we expect from someone of his stature in international cricket.

  5. Oh wow another ex-player critisizing current players from his comfy commentary box. Where was this energy when Kohli was doing similar things? Double standards much?? Stokes has done more for cricket then this guy ever did!

  6. The incident happened in 2nd session when India were bowling tight lines. Context matters here – England were under presure to save follow-on and Stokes felt the umpiring was consistently going against them. Not excusing his behavir but understanding why it happend is important for fair analysis.

  7. Stokes ‘spoiled child’ behavior included: playing one of the greatest test innings ever at Headingly, showing incredible sportsmanship by recalling Labuschagne, and leading England fearlessly. But sure, one moment of frustration defines his entire career. Brilliant logic.

  8. Next thing you know theyll say Stokes needs a timeout and a juice box lol. Maybe England should hire a nanny to travel with the team??? Someone check if he threw his bat like a toy too hahaha

  9. Look I get emotions run high in Test cricket especally in a series like this but there has to be a line. Captains and senior players need to set better examples for younger cricketers who look up to them. This kind of behavior just normalizes unsportsman like conduct.

  10. Ah yes, Ben Stokes the ‘spoiled child’. Im sure his World Cup winning performance and Ashes heroics were also just tantrums. What insightful analysis from someone whos greatest achievement was probably warming the bench.

  11. Both teams have had there moments this series. Lets just enjoy good cricket instead of making mountains out of molehills everytime someone shows emotion??
