The High Court of Karnataka granted a provisional guarantee to the Marketing Chief of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Nikhil Sosale, as part of the jostling that occurred during the team IPL 2025 Celebration of victory. Nikhil Sosale was arrested on June 6 alongside Kiran Kumar, senior event manager, and Sunil Mathew, vice-president, commercial affairs at the DNA Entertainment Network, after the tragic Stampede in Bengaluru. Sosale was arrested by the central crime branch at the airport early that morning.

His legal team challenged the arrest before the High Court of Karnataka. The court postponed the hearing to the following week and finally examined the arguments on both sides during several sessions.

On June 12, the High Court granted a provisional deposit to Sosale with conditions. He must fully cooperate in the investigation and abandon his passport to ensure his availability during the legal process.

The treasurer and secretary of the KSCA resign from their positions

Earlier, the treasurer and secretary of the association and KSCA of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) resigned from their posts. The High Court of Karnataka granted provisional protection to the main officials of the KSCA – President Raghuram Bhat, the secretary to Shankar, and the treasurer Es Jairam.
