  1. Rib cartilage injury’s are no joke especially for hitters. The rotational force required during a swing puts significant stress on the intercostal muscles and cartilage. Even after the acute pain subsides their can be compensatory movement patterns that effect swing mechanics. Twins need to be careful with the rehab timeline here.

  2. Oh wow what a shock another Buxton injury who could of possibly seen this coming 😂 At this rate we should just have a permanent IL spot reserved with his name on it

  3. So your telling me we have an All-Star who cant actually play in games? Thats basically the Twins in a nutshell right their. Maybe we should just bubble wrap him and only bring him out for special ocasions like a fine china set.

  4. Oh great, rib cartilage. Because that sounds totally minor and not at all concerning for a guy who’s entire game relies on explosive movements and swinging a bat with maximum force. I’m sure he’ll be back in no time! 🙄

  5. Buxton is such a talented player when he’s on the field. Praying for a speedy recovery! The team really needs him down the stretch.

  6. I dont understand why people keep saying he’s injury prone. He’s just unlucky!! This could happen to anyone who plays as hard as Buck does. Maybe if the league would do something about slide rules and collisions we wouldnt have these problems.

  7. Rib cartilage injuries typically require 2-4 weeks of recovery time depending on severity. The Twins medical team will likely put him through gradual progression protocols before clearing him for game action. These type of injuries can linger if rushed back to early.

  8. Man this sucks so bad. Buxton is always hurt when we need him most!! How are we supposed to compete without our best player available?? The training staff needs to look at what there doing wrong cause this is getting ridiculous.

  9. Best wishes to Byron! He deserves that All-Star spot and hopefully he can still participate in some capacity. Such and exciting player to watch.

  10. ANOTHER injury?? At what point do we just accept that Buxton is made of glass and cant stay healthy for a full season. Love the guy but this is his career at this point – amazing when healthy but never healthy enough.
