Tyrese Haliburton recorded 32 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds without turnover to conduct Indiana Pacers at a 130-121 victory on New York Knicks in match 4 of the Eastern Conference final in Indianapolis.
Haliburton made five points at 3 points while scoring his second triple-double in career playoffs and helping the Pacers take a 3-1 lead in the best seven series. Pascal Siakam scored 30 points, Bennedict Mathurin added 20 on the bench and Aaron Nesmith added 16 points for the fourth seed of Indiana.
Jalen Brunson scored 31 points, Karl-Anthony Towns collected 24 points and 12 rebounds and OG Anunoby added 22 points for the Knicks, the third seeded. Mikal Bridges scored 17 points and Josh Hart added 12 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.
Match 5 is Tuesday in New York.
Nesmith was declared good for the Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, more than an hour before the Tipoff. He walked his right ankle halfway through the third quarter of match 3 on Sunday.
Myles Turner added 13 points before encouraging Indiana, which pulled 51.1% of the land, including 13 out of 32 from the 3 -point range. The Pacers again excelled in transition with an advantage of 22-9 in fast break points and have an advantage of 65-23 in this category of the series.
The Knicks made 46.3% of their shots and were 12 out of 28 behind the arc. New York had a bounce edge of 44-33.
The Pacers scored the first seven points of the second half to conclude a burst of 13-0 and take an advantage of 76-64.
The Knicks reduced their deficit to 89-84 after two free throws by Brunson with 3:59 to do in the third quarter, but a 3 points from Haliburton made 99-89 with 55.6 seconds to play in the period and the pacers took an advance of 102-91 in the final stanza.
Siakam scored five consecutive points at the beginning of the quarter to give Indiana its greatest advance at 111-96. But New York scored seven consecutive games to move in the 115-109 after a decline in Towns with 4:24 on the left.
But the Indiana maintained its rhythm and the advance was 126-116 after Obi Toppin pierced a pointer of 3 with 45 seconds.
Haliburton was electric in the first half, with 20 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds while the Pacers led 69-64 at the break. Indiana has scored the last six points of half-time. Brunson scored 16 in half for New York.
